Important Updates Regarding Corona Virus:

School Closed from March 16-March 30

Packets:

Teachers are busy today and for the next few days preparing packets of materials for your student.  These materials are aimed at reinforcing material they have already covered in class.  Our short-term goal is to help them retain material we have taught.  These will prove invaluable for moving forward with new content.  At this point in time, we are focusing primarily on distributing paper copies which will be completed by your child and returned to the school for grading.  There will be much more information available to you on specifics surrounding these packets, grading, etc. soon, These assignments are being thoughtfully prepared and will count as graded work.  They may require some assistance from you, although it should be minimal.  As always, we appreciate parental support in encouraging students to complete the work and have it ready to return.  We are prayerfully considering all factors, including taking into account the stressful nature of this rapidly developing situation for all with our desire to be faithful in our work.   Packets need to be picked up Friday, March 20, 2020,  between the hours of 7:30- 5:30 p.m.  We will have tables set up outside the office for easy and quick access to these packets.  Students will also be able (Middle and High School) to pick up their books and any other personal belongings at this time.

Communication

We will continue to use email as our primary form of everyday communication with you.  We will send out an all-call (phone) for more urgent announcements.  It is important, therefore, that you check your email daily.  Thank you to those who responded to our inquiry regarding internet and computer accessibility at home.  This has been very helpful to us as a team as we plan.  Our staff is not on vacation!   We are available to you to help answer questions about assignments or other matters.  Email is the best way to communicate with our staff.  You may expect a response from us within a day.   We are here to support you as best we can remotely.

We will continue to use RenWeb for recording students' grades as materials are returned.

Office hours

This week, our office will be open from 8-3, with the exception of Friday, March 20, 2020, when we will remain open from 7:30- 5:30.  Given the fluid situation, this is, of course, all subject to change.  Mrs. Dalton and I are checking our email and the office voicemail throughout the day and promise to respond as quickly as we are able.

Tuition will be billed on a normal schedule.  You may mail your tuition check or bring it to the school office on Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  If you cannot bring your payment during those hours, please contact Amy Dalton either by email or phone to work out a different schedule.  As stated earlier, our teachers are not on vacation but continuing to work to provide the best education for your student through these circumstances.

Thank you for your patience,

Betsy Durand, Administrator

Welcome to RCA

RCA was established in 1976 to serve our community by providing a Christian education to the children placed in our care.  RCA offers a quality, Biblically-based academic program for children Pre-K through Grade 12. The vision of RCA is to see the name of Jesus Christ exalted in all that we do. To remain faithful to our mission and hold true to our core values. To be made up of faithful followers of Christ who are well qualified to work faithfully to provide a superior Christian education and disciple making environment. So that, we become and remain a viable option to every family who shares our values and desires a Christian education and to see that every child that God entrust  us with has an opportunity to be educated and equipped by faithful followers of Christ. Faithful in word and deed. To partner with and be regarded by our community of churches, not as a church, but as a trustworthy, multifaceted resource for the Church in assisting families in education and equipping children to be disciples of Christ.
